2014 En Primeur – Chateau de Marsannay

mar5The vintage

Located in Côte de Nuits, Chateau de Marsannay owns 26 hectares of vineyards in the Marsannay appellation, as well 12 additional hectares in other appellations across Burgundy. The 2014 vintage was particularly favourable for the estate. The spring exhibited some idyllic weather, which was followed by some heavy rain during the summer. However, September brought exceptional conditions, and the sunshine from this month had a strong impact on the quality of the vintage. The harvests were conducted after the grapes had reached full maturity, contributing to create the powerful, elegant wines for the 2014 vintage.
