Futures 2016 : Releases of the day

The 2016 vintage in a few words: In spite of inconsistent weather conditions, the Bordeaux 2016 vintage looks like a very large and generous vintage in volume. The vintage is characterized by a homogeneous flowering, good fertilisation, water deficits during the summer, and ample amounts of sunlight. The final maturation of the grapes occurred under a radiant sun and prime temperatures. The Indian summer made it possible for each plot to reach maturity, regardless of the grape variety.

The first Futures of the 2016 campaign are available, the first is from the Haut-Medoc appellation :

Chateau Peyrabon – Haut-Medoc

Chateau-peyrabon

A property managed by Millesima since 1988- after a rich history that began in 1766- Chateau Peyrabon is a cru bourgeois in the Haut-Medoc appellation. Its 45 hectares of production, the property’s grape varieties include: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The terroir is a perfect characteristic of the appellation with its sandy-gravel soil and clay and limestone sub-soils.
