The 2016 Primeurs campaign continues today with the following release from Chateau Haut-Bailly in Pessac-Leognan.
Chateau Haut-Bailly – Pessac-Leognan
Chateau Haut-Bailly is a Graves Classified Growth from the Pessac-Leognan appellation. The first traces of the wine go back to 1431 in Pujau, the current location of the property today. Since 1998, the chateau has been owned by Robert G. Wilmers, an American manager of M&T Bank. The 30 hectares of vines are composed of an excellent terroir with extreme richness, and sandy soil with a sandy sub-soil. The grape varieties planted on the property are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Depending on the vintage, the last two varieties are not necessarily included in the final blend.Chateau Haut-Bailly En Primeurs
