The 2016 Primeurs campaign continues today with the following release from Vieux Chateau Certan in Pomerol.
Vieux Chateau Certan – Pomerol
Vieux Chateau Certan is one of the oldest appellations in Pomerol, dating back to the 16th century. The Scottish family, the Demays, were the first owners. In 1785, the property is mentioned on the map of Belleyme under the name of “Sertan”. Shortly after, Charles de Bousquet constructed the chateau as we know it today in 1858. Since 1924, the Thienpont family has owned the chateau. There are 13.5 hectares of Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (30%) and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon planted on gravel and sand, very typical of Pomerol.Vieux Chateau Certan En Primeurs
